CHAFFEE -- Stella Mae Cook, 85, of Chaffee, died Wednesday, Aug. 14, 1996, at Heartland Care and Rehab Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Nov. 27, 1910, at Laflin, daughter of Charles F. and Ida Belle Poston Huffman. She and Frank Cook Sr. were married in 1933. He died Sept. 14, 1966.
Cook worked 25 years at Samuel Shoe Co. in St. Louis.
Survivors include three sons, Frank Cook Jr. of Crump, Donald Cook of Allenville, Robert Cook of St. Louis; a daughter, Melva Tarpein of Chaffee; two sisters, Helen Devlin of St. Louis, Hattie Mudd of Lonedell; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three sons, a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance from 4:30-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Keith Price officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
