Stanley E. Reinholz Sr., 85 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Feb. 24, 1931, in St. Louis to the late Mr. and Mrs. (Frieda Hrebec) Reinholz. He and Della Davault were married in 1951 in Cape Girardeau. She passed away March 28, 2011...

Stanley E. Reinholz Sr., 85 of Cape Girardeau, formerly of Mesa, Arizona, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Feb. 24, 1931, in St. Louis to the late Mr. and Mrs. (Frieda Hrebec) Reinholz. He and Della Davault were married in 1951 in Cape Girardeau. She passed away March 28, 2011.

Stanley was a 1949 graduate of Central High School in Cape Girardeau. Upon graduating, he joined the Navy and was married. His naval career spanned 42 years of service. He served on a mine sweeper during the Korean War, after which he went into the Naval Reserves where he completed his service. While in the reserves, he attended and graduated from Southeast Missouri State University. He then started a 29-year career in pharmaceutical sales with Pfizer Inc. He also worked many years in promotional and advertising sales. In his retirement, he enjoyed working in his yard in Mesa and creating folk art out of cactus.

Loving survivors include three sons, Stanley (Janet) Reinholz Jr. of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Mark (Martha) Reinholz and Andrew (Jennifer) Reinholz, both of Mesa. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Della; and a daughter, Teresa Reinholz.

A memorial service will be at a later date in Mesa.

Local arrangements were by McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
