Stanford Theodore Frey, 92, of Scott City died Tuesday, March 24, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
He was born March 8, 1917, in Sikeston, Mo., son of George William and Mary Stephanie Bouchard Frey. He and Lillie Susan Alma Miller were married June 3, 1938, in Sikeston.
Frey had been a superintendent with Kiefner Brothers Construction. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Carpenters Union, Knights of Columbus Council 1111 in Cape Girardeau and Morley VFW Post.
He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Charlie and Michael Frey of Scott City, David Frey of Bedford, Texas; a daughter, Carolyn Matthews of Heber Springs, Ark.; 12 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. Parish prayers will be at 6, followed by Knights of Columbus prayers at 6:15.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Gardens at Morley, Mo.
