Stan Vaughn, 60, of Sikeston, formerly of Olive Branch, Illinois, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2024, in Dublin, Virginia.

Stan was born Nov. 6, 1963, in Cairo, Illinois, to Frank and Dorothy Deweese Vaughn. He married Rebecca Nix on Dec. 6, 2002, and she survives.

Stan worked for the last 10 years as a driver for DOT Foods Inc. He loved fishing and his family, enjoyed his neighborhood "board meetings" and was a bourbon connoisseur. Stan liked watching the old westerns and movies in general.

Survivors include his wife, Becky; daughters, Lindsey (Bryce) Bigham and Andrea (Skyler) Smith; son, Jacob (Brandon) Klein; grandchildren -- who knew him as "Pappy" -- Reese, Lincoln and Jensen; brothers, Jerry (Susie) Vaughn and Larry (Gloria) Vaughn; sister, Patsy (Curt) Sebens; lifelong friend, Bret Gowin; and nieces, nephews and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 9, and from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at Crain Funeral Home in Tamms, Illinois.

Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brent Gordon officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery.
