WEBSTER GROVES -- Sister Vincent Clare Hauptman, 95, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, at her room at Nerinx Hall in Webster Groves. She was born April 22, 1901, to Edward and Wilhelmina Fassel Hauptman. She was accepted into the Order of the Loretto in 1923 and graduated from Webster Groves University. She taught school in St. Louis, Denver, Illinois, New Mexico and in Cape Girardeau at St. Vincent's Grade School. She retired and left Cape Girardeau in 1981...

WEBSTER GROVES -- Sister Vincent Clare Hauptman, 95, died Tuesday, May 28, 1996, at her room at Nerinx Hall in Webster Groves.

She was born April 22, 1901, to Edward and Wilhelmina Fassel Hauptman.

She was accepted into the Order of the Loretto in 1923 and graduated from Webster Groves University. She taught school in St. Louis, Denver, Illinois, New Mexico and in Cape Girardeau at St. Vincent's Grade School. She retired and left Cape Girardeau in 1981.

Survivors include her sister, Bernice Stock of Cape Girardeau, two nieces and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters.

Funeral Mass will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at the Nerinx Chapel in Webster Groves. Burial will be Thursday morning in the Cemetery of the Resurrection in Webster Groves.
