Sister Noel Wulfers, SSND, died Sunday, June 12, 1994, in St. Louis.
She was born Aug. 10, 1935, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Edward C. and Clotilda Seib Wulfers.
Wulfers graduated from old St. Mary's High School in 1953, received a degree in teaching from Southeast Missouri State University in 1957, and later received a master's degree from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville.
She entered the School Sisters of Notre Dame in August 1958, and taught in elementary schools in Missouri, Illinois, Nebraska and Texas. She retired from teaching in September 1987 due to ill health, but continued in other work at the Motherhouse.
Survivors include two sisters, Agnes Latimer of Kansas City, Rita Glueck of Cape Girardeau; four brothers, James, Al, Carl and Gregory Wulfers, all of Cape Girardeau.
Her body was donated to St. Louis University Medical School.
Memorial masses will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Motherhouse in St. Louis, and at 8 a.m. June 20 at St. Vincent's Catholic Church here.
