The funeral for Sister Georgetta Higdon of Ursuline Sisters of Mount St. Joseph in Maple Mount, Ky., was held Dec. 23 at Mount St. Joseph Chapel. Burial was in the convent cemetery.

Higdon, 95, died Friday, Dec. 20, 2002, at Mount St. Joseph Motherhouse.

She was born in St. Lawrence, Ky. She was an educator 57 years, ministering as principal, teacher, librarian and music teacher in many schools in the Diocese of Owensboro and the Archdiocese of Louisville in Kentucky, and in New Mexico. She retired at Mount St. Joseph in 1988.

Survivors include a brother, Thomas A. Higdon of Lemon Grove, Calif.; four sisters, Mary Rose Greenberg and Frances Marie O'Bryan of Paducah, Ky., Ursula Reitzel of Cape Girardeau, and Mary Aloysius Eger of Phoenix, Ariz.
