SISTER ANNA BLES

COMMERCE -- Funeral service for Sister Anna Rose Bles of Wheaton, Ill., was held Wednesday at Our Lady of Angels Convent Chapel in Wheaton. The Rev. Samuel Pusateri officiated, with burial in Assumption Cemetery at Winfield, Ill.

Bles, 78, died Sunday, Dec. 10, 1995, at the convent.

She was born Feb. 11, 1917, at Commerce, daughter of Otto and Bertha Vetter Bles.

Bles entered the convent in St. Louis and celebrated her perpetual vows in 1951. After her initial formation she moved to Wheaton.

She served as a cook at the Motherhouse and novitiates, was food service supervisor at St. Michael, and assistant administrator at Our Lady of Angels Convent.

Survivors include a brother, George Bles, and a sister, Hermina Westrich, both of Scott City.

She was preceded in death by a sister.
