JACKSON -- Sidney A. "Art" Webb, 75, died Sunday, Nov. 23, 1997, at St. Mary's Hospital in Centralia, Ill.
He was born March 20, 1922, at Black, the son of Sidney and Florence Dennison Webb. He married Annis Lee Propst on June 3, 1950, at Pocahontas, Ark. She died Feb. 3, 1996.
He was an electrician for many years for General Motors Corp. in St. Louis. He was a member of the United Auto Workers.
He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the Marine Corps Reserve from 1942-1945.
He and his wife moved to Jackson in 1984. He as a member of First Baptist Church in Millersville, Excelsior Masonic Lodge 441 of Jackson, Order of Eastern Star Chapter 91 of Jackson and Scottish Rite Valley of St. Louis.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 5-8 p.m. today. A Masonic service will be held at 7.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Daniel Hale officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery.
