COBDEN, Ill. -- Sidney C. Hartline, 84, of Cobden died Saturday, Jan. 25, 1997, at his home.
He was born July 28, 1912, in Cobden, son of Walter and Ruth Coleman Hartline. He and Mildred Fears were married June 17, 1938, in Anna. She died Feb. 1, 1991.
He was a member of Walnut Grove United Methodist Church, Cobden Masonic Lodge 466, and International Union of Operating Engineers Local 318.
Survivors include a son, Gary Hartline of Cobden; a daughter, Karen Lamer of Lewisburg, Pa.; a sister, Alma Fears of Belleville; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 6 p.m. Wednesday, and after 10 a.m. Thursday at Walnut Grove Church. Masonic service will be at 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Revs. Larry Gilbert and Brent Gordon officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
