Shirley Painton

PAINTON, Mo. -- Shirley Faye Painton, 77, of Painton passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her home.

She was born June 13, 1936, in Sparksville, Ky., daughter of Milburn and Mildred Stotts Murphy. She and Don C. Painton were married April 27, 1957, in Chaffee, Mo. He preceded her in death in May 2000.

Shirley was a member of First Baptist Church in Advance, Mo. She had been a member of WMC and Senior Adults Club.

Survivors include a son, Don M. Painton of Painton; a daughter, JoAnna Painton; two brothers, Stanley Murphy of Farmington, Mo., and Ralph Murphy of St. Peters, Mo.; a sister, Kaye Pope of Kimmswick, Mo.; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a daughter, Millie Painton.

Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel, with the Rev. Eric Shrum officiating. Burial will be in Forrest Hills Cemetery at Morley, Mo.
