Shirley Moss, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2009, at Saint Francis Medical Center.
She was born Nov. 24, 1947, in Poplar Bluff, Mo., daughter of Lesslie "L.T." and Mary Hicks. She and Lonnie Moss were married Jan. 2, 1966, at First Methodist Church in Puxico, Mo.
Mrs. Moss was formerly of Puxico. She was employed at Community Counseling Center in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Lesslie Moss of Cape Girardeau; her mother, Mary Hicks of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Carolyn Hicks Taylor and husband Terry of Poplar Bluff; a sister-in-law, Janet Moss Smith and husband Red of Yelm, Wash.; a brother-in-law, Connie Moss and wife Susie of Panama City, Fla.; and best friend, Paula Suzuki.
She was preceded in death by her father; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Fred and Jewell Moss; and a brother-in-law, Carroll Moss.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with Jeff Linson officiating. Burial will be in Puxico Cemetery.
