ADVANCE, Mo. -- Shirley Ann Smith Hudson, 71, of Advance departed this life Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, surrounded by family. She was born Oct. 21, 1944, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Aubrey William and Nanie Helena Moss Smith. Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Beedeville High School. She loved to dance, camping, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family...
ADVANCE, Mo. -- Shirley Ann Smith Hudson, 71, of Advance departed this life Friday, Jan. 29, 2016, surrounded by family.
She was born Oct. 21, 1944, in Newport, Arkansas, the daughter of Aubrey William and Nanie Helena Moss Smith.
Shirley was a 1961 graduate of Beedeville High School. She loved to dance, camping, gardening and spending time with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of her family.

Survivors include Gary Hudson of Advance; three sons, Don (Tana) Hudson, Hollis Hudson and Tom (Angelia) Hudson, all of Advance; two daughters, Nanie (Kevin) Hawkins and Andrea Hodge, both of Advance; a brother, James (Jamye) Smith of Newport, Arkansas; two sisters, Bettie Looney of McCrory, Arkansas, and Linda (Alan) Vance of Bradford, Arkansas, 12 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.
A private graveside burial will be at Brownwood Cemetery in Brownwood.
