Shirley Griffin

CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Shirley J. Griffin, 80, of Chaffee passed away Thursday, Aug. 24, 2017, at Life Care Center of Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 28, 1936, in Chaffee to the late Charles Vincent and Igenia Theresa Strack Griffin.

Shirley was a central service tech for 32 years at Southeast Hospial. She was a member of St. Ambrose Church in Chaffee and a member of the Daughters of St. Ambrose.

She is survived by a brother, Paul Griffin of Chaffee; two sisters, Helen Knudson of Fairdealing, Missouri, and Pauline Asmus of Chaffee; and special nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation was Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Ambrose Church, with the Rev. Randy Tochtrop officiating. Burial will be at St. Ambrose Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Ambrose Church or school.
