Shirley Goode

SIKESTON, Mo. -- Shirley Goode, 83, of Sikeston died Saturday, March 26, 2005, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.

She was born Oct. 7, 1921, at Kennett, Mo., daughter of Walter and Daisy Mae Young Landers. She and Hugh C. Goode were married Feb. 1, 1941, at Risco, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Patricia Chism and Jeanne Goode of Sikeston, Delores Faucett of Cupertino, Calif.; two brothers, J.R. Landers of Risco, Don Landers of Malden; two sisters, Idabell Terry of Risco, Inez Bond of Parma; a cousin raised in the home, Weston Landers of Hemet, Calif.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home, with the Rev. Ronnie Ledbetter officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
