LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Shirley Rose Eifert, daughter of the late Oscar and Nola Burton Vaughn, was born June 13, 1937, in Fornfelt and departed her life Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Nazareth Nursing Facility in Louisville at the age of 86 years. LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Shirley Rose Eifert, daughter of the late Oscar and Nola Burton Vaughn, was born June 13, 1937, in Fornfelt and departed her life Friday, July 14, 2023, at the Nazareth Nursing Facility in Louisville at the age of 86 years.

She was a graduate of Scott City High School and a former resident of Scott City. Shirley was a previous employee of Parkview State School and Scott City High School. She was a member of Eisleben Lutheran Church and Ladies Aide.

On Oct. 10, 1959, she was united in marriage to Raymond Lee Eifert in Illmo. He preceded her in death March 15, 2017.

Survivors include two sons, Jay Douglas (Diana) Eifert of Louisville and Sean Tyler (Jennifer) Eifert of Prattville, Alabama; three grandchildren, Chase, Conner and Dylan Eifert; and her Yorkie she loved dearly, Peanut.

Besides her husband and parents, Shirley was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Tom Vaughn, and two sisters, Helen Schwepker and Geraldine Perr.

Graveside service will be conduced at 11 a.m. Friday, July 21, at Eisleben Lutheran Cemetery in Scott City, with the Rev. Barry Pfanstiel officiating.
