CAMPBELL, Mo. -- Shirley Bentley Clifford, 80, of Campbell passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2021, at the General Baptist Nursing Home in Campbell.
Shirley, daughter of Arthur George and Edna Juanita Barfoot Bentley Sr., was born Saturday, Feb. 15, 1941, in Gideon, Missouri. On May 22, 1965, in Gideon, she was united in marriage to Patrick Clifford. He survives.
She was a retired caseworker for the State of Missouri Child Support Enforcement Division in Cape Girardeau. She attended North Arkansas Community College, Arkansas State University and was a member of the Methodist Church in Campbell.
Other survivors include her daughter, Bentley (John) Utgaard of Murray, Kentucky; grandson, Edward Utgaard of Murray; sisters, Barbara Herring of Ste. Genevieve, Missouri, and Carolyn "Boo" (Larry) Randolph of Rogers, Arkansas; brothers, Larry (Martha) Bentley of Batesville, Arkansas, and Arthur Bentley Jr. of West Plains, Missouri; sister-in-law, Ona Bentley of Canadian, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Randall Bentley.
Donations in lieu of flowers to the Alzheimer's Association in Shirley's memory are greatly appreciated.
Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. today at the Landess Funeral Home in Campbell.
Service will be at 2 p.m., with Randall Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Campbell.
