Shirley Buck

Shirley Buck, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at Fountainbleau Lodge.

She was born Dec. 24, 1946, in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, to Frank and Mozuria Campbell Osborn.

Shirley and Billy W. Buck were married Jan. 15, 1968, in Hillsboro, Missouri.

She was active in the local food pantries and helped at Planned Parenthood and Family Counseling Center. She was a member of Abundant Life Church in Gordonville, where she served as secretary for many years.

Survivors include a daughter, Tabitha Cox; son, Daniel Buck; three grandchildren, Danielle Cox, Haylee Buck and Billy Buck; two great-grandchildren, Kaiden Cox and Keshon Cox; brother, Bob (Linda) Osborn; and adopted daughter, Shonda Hemphill.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two brothers, Ray and Dean Osborn; and sister, Glenda Hopkins.

Visitation will be from noon to 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 4, at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
