Sheryl Kay Whorton, 63, of Cape Girardeau died Friday, Aug. 10, 2018, at Southeast Hospital.

She was born Sept. 11, 1954, in St. Louis to Clifford and Norma Wagganer Schrieber. She and Ronald ï¿½Alï¿½ Whorton were married May 17, 1997, in Cape Girardeau.

Sheryl was a lover of animals, a Cardinals fan, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Ronald ï¿½Alï¿½ Whorton of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Jennifer (James) Stitt of St. Louis and Melissa Hughes of Yukon, Oklahoma; two brothers, Dennis (JoAnn) Schrieber of Owasso, Oklahoma, and Don (Janice) Schrieber of Poplar Bluff, Missouri; and four grandchildren, Dustin Lindsey, Jameson Stitt, Greyson Stitt and Madison Hughes.

Friends may call from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.
