Shelia E. Hager, known to many as “Slim,” 58, of Jackson, passed away Friday, June 10, 2016, at her home.
She was born April 16, 1958, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Kenneth E. and Elwanda Stroder Seabaugh. She and Phil Hager were married May 27, 1978.
Shelia was a 1976 graduate of Jackson High School. She worked 32 years for her father at Seabaugh Construction Co., and in 2007 began working with her husband at Mid America Electric Motor Sales in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of the Jackson Elk’s Lodge No. 2652 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved and adored her grandchildren, was an avid golfer, and had accomplished a hole-in-one.
Loving survivors include her husband of 38 years, Phil; a son, Jeff (Leslie) Hager, and a daughter, Megan (Marc) Ashby of Jackson; four grandchildren, Blake and Izobel Hager and Cooper and Canton Ashby of Jackson; her mother, Elwanda Seabaugh of Jackson; and two sisters, Connie Sides of Jackson and Cathy Seabaugh of Chicago.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The memorial visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 2016, at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
