Shelby L. "Cupcake" Stafford, 48, of Cape Girardeau passed away Friday, Sept. 15, 2017, at Saint Francis Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born Aug. 25, 1969, in Paragould, Arkansas, daughter of Jimmy D. and Karen D. Bateman Stafford.
Shelby was a 1990 graduate from Parkview State School in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of Lynwood Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau and the Access Ministry and formerly was employed at VIP Industries in Cape Girardeau.
Loving survivors include her mother, Karen Stafford of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jarett Stafford of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Bethany Stafford of Rolla, Missouri; and paternal grandmother, Viva Stafford of Paragould.
Also surviving are several loving aunts, uncles, cousins and numerous friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Jim Stafford; maternal grandparents; paternal grandparents; and an uncle, Jesse Stafford.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lynwood Baptist Church.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with the Rev. Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at Woodland Heights Cemetery in Rector, Arkansas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Access Ministry at Lynwood Baptist Church, Cape Girardeau Senior Center or AID c/o VIP Industries in Cape Girardeau.
