FREDERICKTOWN, Mo. -- Shelby F. Long, 86, of Fredericktown died Saturday, April 14, 2001, at the Mineral Area Medical Center in Farmington, Mo.
He was born Feb. 28, 1915, in Lutesville, Mo., son of Jess and Doshie Barnette Long. He married Lela Driskell on July 5, 1962. She died April 6, 1994.
He was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Fredericktown and was a retired millwright.
Survivors include two sisters, Ruby Roe of East Alton, Ill., and Audrey Beard of Marble Hill, Mo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a stepson.
Friends may call from 5:30-8 p.m. today at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jimmie Fulbright officiating. Burial will follow in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery.
