Sheila Blackwell, 65, of Cape Girardeau died Saturday, June 28, 2014, at St. John's Mercy Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born July 11, 1948, in Cape Girardeau, to Paul and Luella Mehner Blackwell Sr.
Sheila loved her dogs and all animals and enjoyed spending time outside. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Cape Girardeau and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Cape Girardeau Eagles No. 3775.
She is survived by a sister, Debbie Hinkebein (Robert Claar) of Jackson; four brothers, John Blackwell (Cathy) of Cape Girardeau, Paul Blackwell of Memphis, Tennessee, Charles Blackwell (Barbie) of Sydney and Mike Blackwell of Ozark, Missouri; one nephew, Tyler Blackwell (Sarah) of Jackson; one niece, Amy Emmenderfer (Jason) of Cape Girardeau; and her great-nephews and -niece, Cole, Cade and Paige Emmenderfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Family and friends may gather from 11 a.m. until the time of service Tuesday at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
