Sharrona Werner

Sharrona Leigh Werner, 29, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011, at her home.

She was born Feb. 3, 1982, in Cape Girardeau, to Sharon Friese Werner.

Sharrona was baptized at Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She was a 2000 graduate of Jackson High School. She was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy. She had worked at Special Touch Pet Salon, the former Jungle Gems, Dogwood Veterinary Hospital, Broussard's Cajun Cuisine, BG's Olde Tyme Deli and Ken Myles Insurance, all in Cape Girardeau. She loved all animals and truly enjoyed working with them.

Loving survivors include her mother of Jackson; maternal grandmother, Nancy "Alene" Friese of Jackson; godparents, Doug and Pat Overbeck of Jackson; several aunts and uncles; and her special Yorkie canine family, Raja and Biscuit.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at the chapel of McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Grant Gillard officiating.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri, 2536 Boutin Drive, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
