Sharon Dean Young, 80, of Rockville, Md., formerly of Cape Girardeau, died Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012, at her home, surrounded by her family.
She was born Sept. 4, 1932, in Cape Girardeau, to Clifford Alvo and Carrie Wilma Marie Foeste Busche.
Sharon's family was her life and she devoted herself to them fully. She was originally from Cape Girardeau but has lived the past 50 plus years in Maryland.
Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Busche of New Market, Md., Teresa Schuhmacher of Annapolis, Md.; two brothers, Bobby Joe and Karl Wayne Busche of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Germaine Davis of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren, Jeremy, Justin and Bobby Schuhmacher, and Daniel Busche; and three great-grandchildren, Gabriella, Makayla and Avery Schuhmacher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Gene Young in 1981, and her parents.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Nathan Burgell officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
