PINSON, Tenn. -- Sharon Plemons, 66, of Pinson died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at her home. She was born April 25, 1940, in Bemis, Tenn., daughter of Jerald and Fannie Putman Kennon. She married Walter R. Plemons. Mrs. Plemons was a 1958 graduate of South Side High School. She was a retired secretary for the Jackson-Madison County School System, and was a notary public for the state of Tennessee. She was a member of Parkburg Baptist Church and Bemis Historical Society...

PINSON, Tenn. -- Sharon Plemons, 66, of Pinson died Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2006, at her home.

She was born April 25, 1940, in Bemis, Tenn., daughter of Jerald and Fannie Putman Kennon. She married Walter R. Plemons.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Chris Plemons Lowery of Henderson, Tenn., Katherine Plemons of Bemis; a son, Walter R. Plemons II of Pinson; a sister, Georgia Roe of Bemis; a brother, Talmage Kennon of Saucier, Miss.; eight grandchildren, William Cody Foster, Walter R. Plemons III, Gerald Ryan Plemons, Myrlyn Biffle, Atticus Biffle, Addie Biffle, Grace Lowery and Katie Skye Plemons.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and two brothers, Farris and Larry Kennon.

The funeral was held Dec. 9 at George A. Smith and Sons South Chapel in Jackson, Tenn. The Rev. Jimmy Horton officiated. Burial was in Rogers Cemetery in Pinson.

Memorials may be directed to Youth Town of Tennessee.
