Sharon Louise Park, 45, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Norbert and Viola Exler Schlegel. She was cashier at Western Sizzlin' Steakhouse in Cape Girardeau and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in the church volleyball sports league. She attended Washington School and Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School in 1971...

Sharon Louise Park, 45, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Sept. 3, 1998, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 9, 1952, in Cape Girardeau, the daughter of Norbert and Viola Exler Schlegel.

She was cashier at Western Sizzlin' Steakhouse in Cape Girardeau and a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. She was active in the church volleyball sports league. She attended Washington School and Trinity Lutheran School and graduated from Central High School in 1971.

She is survived by her parents of Cape Girardeau; a son, James Park of Jackson; a brother and sister-in-law, Darrel and Joy Schlegel of Cape Girardeau; a sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Gary Garner of Cape Girardeau; one nephew, Ben Schegel; two nieces, Cassandra Schlegel and Emily Schlegel; and a special friend, Virgil Theiss of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceeded in death by maternal grandparents, Benjamin and Clara Niedling Exler and paternal grandparents, George and Emma Grossheider Schlegel.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Saturday, Sept. 5, 1998 at Trnity Lutheran Church with the Rev. David Dissen officiating. Burial will follow in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Egypt Mills.

Lorberg Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements. The family requests memorials be made to Living Hope, Southeast Missouri Hospital, or Trinity Lutheran Church.
