CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Sharon Ayers, daughter of the late Ollie and Irene Sadler Schrum, was born March 25, 1956, in St. Louis and departed this life Sunday, Oct. 18, 2020, at her home in Chaffee at the age of 64.
Sharon was a housewife and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
On March 29, 1974, she was united in marriage to Jerry Lee Ayers in Chaffee. He preceded her in death Nov. 4, 2017.

Survivors include a son, Daniel (Lori Cowell) Ayers of Chaffee; daughters, Michelle (Jerry) Laxton of Scott City, Kim Harper (Tyler Dannenmueller) of Chaffee and Ja'net (Randy) Sadler of Chaffee; stepsons, Michael (Colleen) Ayers and David (Susan) Ayers, both of Cape Girardeau; brothers, Bobby Schrum and Kenny Schrum, both of Chaffee; sister, Tammy Schrum of Piedmont, Missouri; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.
Funeral will follow at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jim Smiley officiating.
