SETH D. GRIFFITH

CAIRO, Ill. -- Seth D. Griffith, 77, of Cairo, died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 1993, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis.

He was born Sept. 8, 1915, son of Harry and Essie Osborne Griffith.

Griffith was retired from the former Karcher Brothers Funeral Home here. He attended Word of Life Tabernacle in Metropolis.

Survivors include four daughters, Wanda Cole of Metropolis, Norma Kline of Villa Ridge, Mary Kline of Mound City, Katherine Griffith of Olmsted; three sons, David Griffith of Cypress, Paul and Ricky Griffith of Olmsted; a sister, Clarice Osborne of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother, Glenn Sharpe of Independence; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Barkett Funeral Chapel in Mound City. The Rev. Dale Anderson will officiate, with burial in Spencer Heights Cemetery at Mounds.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
