SIKESTON -- Selma P. Collier, 83, formerly of Sikeston, died Friday, June 19, 1992, at DePaul Hospital in St. Louis.
She was born Oct. 13, 1908 near Benton, Ky., daughter of William Thomas Attebury and Sarah Katherine Dees Attebury.
She was a housewife and homemaker. She was a member of the Tanner Street Church of God in Sikeston.
She was formerly employed at Sikeston Ceramics and in the housekeeping department of Missouri Delta Medical Center at Sikeston.
She married Herbert B. Collier Sr. in 1931. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 1951.
She is survived by a son, Herbert B. Collier Jr., of Maryland Heights Mo.; a brother, W. T. Attebury of Paducah, Ky.; two sisters, Pauline Gardner of Tremont, Ill., and Katherine Wilkins of Paducah; two grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother, two sisters and two great grandsons.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Nunnelee Chapel with Rev. Carl Addison, pastor of the Tanner Street Church of God, officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories at Sikeston.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. Sunday at Nunnelee funeral chapel of Sikeston.
