He was born June 10, 1971, in Cape Girardeau to the late Floyd W. "Frog" and Clara Jean King Penny.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Ann Scherer Penny; daughter, Bailey Penny of Jackson; and numerous other family members and friends.

Private family services will be held. Private burial will take place at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
