Scott D. Butler, 50, of Sedgewickville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born June 28, 1965, in Kirkwood, Missouri, son of David L. and Bonnie Lee Conley Butler. Scott graduated in 1983 from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri. Scott D. Butler, 50, of Sedgewickville, Missouri, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016, at his home after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was born June 28, 1965, in Kirkwood, Missouri, son of David L. and Bonnie Lee Conley Butler.

Scott graduated in 1983 from Fox High School in Arnold, Missouri. He worked in auto parts for several years, and for the past 20 years, he worked in residential remodeling and siding. Scott enjoyed deer hunting and fishing.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Virginia Butler of Affton, Missouri; his father, David Butler of Arnold; a brother, Russel Butler of Imperial, Missouri; a sister, Julie Butler of Affton; one uncle, Richard (Pat) Conley of Jackson; three aunts, Linda (Jerry) Jansen of Jackson, Rita (the late, Mike) Conley of Fruitland and Barbara (Dennis) Hurst of Jackson; and many cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bonnie Butler, who passed away Dec. 5, 2012; his maternal grandparents, Russell and Virginia Conley; and his paternal grandparents, Tony and Marie Butler.

Friends may call from noon until 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral and Cremation Center in Jackson.

Graveside service will follow the visitation at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson, with the Rev. Hershel Tharp officiating.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society.
