Saundra Lee Sample, 82, of Poplar Bluff, passed away on August 7, 2024. A longtime Las Vegas resident, she returned to Missouri in 2013. Memorials can be made to Gideons International.

POPLAR BLUFF — Saundra Lee Sample, 82, of Poplar Bluff went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Aug, 7, 2024.

She was born Aug. 11, 1941, in Cape Girardeau to Henry and Madge Sample. She is survived by sisters, Carol Fauss, Kay (Dennis) Smothers and Darlene Lohmann, and brother, Joe (Marla) Sample.

She was a resident of Las Vegas for 40 years. She returned to Missouri in 2013 and lived with her mom, Madge Sample, in Poplar Bluff.

She donated her body to Genesis.

A memorial service will be planned later.

The family requests memorials be made to Gideons International, P.O. Box 412, Poplar Bluff, MO 63902.
