SARAH THOMPSON

UNITY, Ill. -- Sarah Thompson, 70, of Unity, died Wednesday, Sept. 6, 1995, at her home.

She was born June 13, 1925, at Wyatt, Mo., daughter of John Henry and Jennie Johnson Allen. She and Horace Thompson were married in 1945 in Cairo. He died in 1963.

Thompson was associated with Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church in Hodges Park.

Survivors include two sons, Roy Thompson of Unity, Lonnie Williford of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; four daughters, Erma Jones and Willette Campbell of Unity, Norma Spence of Tamms, Ozell Jeffers of Paducah, Ky.; three brothers, John Allen Jr. of Chicago, Henry and Louis Allen of Columbia, Mo.; a sister, Mary Allen of Mounds; 24 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call at Mt. Zion Church from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Revs. Willie Simpson and Wiley Reed officiating. Burial will be in Spencer Heights Memorial Park at Mounds.
