Sarah Alice Rusher, 76, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2007, at her home.
She was born Feb. 4, 1931, in Forman, Ill., to William Tell and Inez Anna Carpenter Wood.
She married Jack Dale Rusher Sept. 7, 1955, in Oak Lawn, Ill. He died May 18, 1991.
Rusher was a member of the First Pentecostal Church. She taught reading at Palos Hills Christian Academy in Palos Hills, Ill., for six years. She moved to Cape Girardeau from Olmsted, Ill., in 1999.
Survivors include two daughters, Belinda Rose and Melissa Tackett of Cape Girardeau, 11 grandchildren, and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, a brother, two sisters and a great-grandson.
Visitation hours are from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Darrell E. Faire Sr. and Doyle Randol officiating. Burial will follow.
