Sarah Lasley

MOUNDS, Ill. -- Sarah Theressa Lasley, 73, of Mounds died Tuesday, May 10, 2005, at Massac Memorial Hospital in Metropolis, Ill.

She was born Oct. 1, 1931, in Pomona, Ill., daughter of Richard W. and Mary Elizabeth Storey McLean. She married William "Bill" Lasley.

Lasley was a graduate of St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Cairo, Ill. She was a retired registered nurse and nurse practitioner. She was a member of Villa Ridge Union Church.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Cynthia Clancy of Villa Ridge, Alicia McMurry of Mounds; two sons, Gary Lasley of Olive Branch, Ill., David Lasley of Cypress, Ill.; a sister, Evelyn Brown of Springfield, Ill.; and five grandchildren.

Friends may call at Barkett Funeral Home in Mounds from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Ralph Kaufman officiating. Burial will be in Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
