ADVANCE, Mo. -- Sarah Nell Hurt, 77, of Advance died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Aug. 5, 1928, near East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Jim and Mabel Thompson Munson. She and Jack L. Hurt were married July 6, 1948, in Osceola, Ark...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Sarah Nell Hurt, 77, of Advance died Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Aug. 5, 1928, near East Prairie, Mo., daughter of Jim and Mabel Thompson Munson. She and Jack L. Hurt were married July 6, 1948, in Osceola, Ark.

Hurt had lived in Advance the past nine years.

Survivors include her husband; two daughters. Beverly Boyer of Advance, Susan Hurt of Iberia, Mo.; a brother, Robert Munson of East Prairie; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie.

The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. today at the funeral home, with her husband officiating. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
