Sarah Louise "Betty" Cunningham, 91, of Bartlett, Tenn., died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at home. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and active in the Women's Society of both Asbury and Bartlett United Methodist churches. She was also a member of the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and also belonged to the Red Hat Society and enjoyed their fellowship...

Sarah Louise "Betty" Cunningham, 91, of Bartlett, Tenn., died Monday, Aug. 28, 2006, at home.

She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church and active in the Women's Society of both Asbury and Bartlett United Methodist churches. She was also a member of the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and also belonged to the Red Hat Society and enjoyed their fellowship.

She follows her husband, Eugene Cunningham, in death. They were married 48 years.

She was born in Ridgeway, Ill., and grew up in Chaffee, Mo. In her former years she was a very social person who loved to dance and travel.

She leaves three children, John Cunningham of Franklin, Tenn., Charlene Kraft, with whom she lived, and Joe Cunningham of Germantown, Tenn. She has seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Wednesday at Memphis Funeral Home Poplar Chapel. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery.
