SCOTT CITY, Mo. -- Sarah Alice Baker, 65, of Scott City died Saturday, May 26, 2001, at Southeast Missouri Hospital at Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 30, 1935, at Swinton, Mo., daughter of Jimmie Lee and Sylvia Helen Morris. She and Edward David Baker were married May 9, 1953, at Illmo, Mo.
Baker had retired as a sewing machine operator for Florshiem Shoes of Chaffee, Mo.
Survivors include her husband; two sons, Donald Baker and Ronald Baker, both of Scott City; a daughter, Sherry Braden of Liberty, Mo.; two brothers, James R. Lee of Scott City, and Edwin G. Lee of Commerce, Mo.; four sisters, "Mary Helen" Crader of Scott City, Beulah Lusk of Greenville, Mo., "Elsie Rose" Hagan of Deering, Ga., and Jackie Lee of Scott City; and four grandchildren.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Chapel in Scott City from 4-8 p.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel. The Rev. Randy Morse will officiate, with burial in Lightner Memorial Cemetery in Scott City.
