ORAN, Mo. -- Sara Irene Guzman, 60, of Oran passed away Tuesday, Dec. 9, 2014, at the family home.
She was born July 19, 1954, in St. Louis, to William Ray and Nelda Maxine Hanks Shaffer. She and Raymond Guzman were married July 10, 1970.
Sara was a bus driver with the Oran School District 38 years. She was a member of Faith Family Church in Painton, Missouri. She was also a member of 4 Christ Ministry Clowns and Puppets, and helped with Children's Church at Christ Church of the Heartland in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include her husband, Raymond of the home; a son, Tracy (Becky) Guzman of Oran; a daughter, Leslie (Ben) Karr of Oran; two brothers, Darrel Hanks of Oran and Jimmy Hanks of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Duranda Cochran of Oran, Marsha Ward of Cape Girardeau and Elizabeth (Tony) Whayle of Marion, Arkansas; two grandchildren, Coltin Karr and Brandy Guzman of Oran; and a very special friend, Joann Cato of Sikeston, Missouri.
She was also preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Hanks.
Friends may call from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at Faith Family Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Don Joliff officiating. Burial will be in Williams Cemetery at Perkins, Missouri.
