Sandra Kay Nussbaum, 50, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, July 3, 2003, at her home.
She was born Feb. 19, 1953, in Anna, Ill., daughter of Carl L. and Dorothy Ditteraline Pfaff. She and Ralph Nussbaum were married July 8, 1988, in Cape Girardeau.
She worked for five years at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau until illness rendered her unable in September 2002. She was a member of the Evangelical United Church of Christ in Cape Girardeau, the Lady Elks and Post M Travelers Protective Association.
Survivors include her husband; her parents of Olmsted, Ill.; her maternal grandmother, Ruby Ditteraline of Perks, Ill.; a daughter, Sharon Abernathy of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Michele Schabbing of Gordonville; two stepsons, Mark Nussbaum of Fruitland and Chris Nussbaum of Perryville, Mo.; a brother, Randol Pfaff of Villa Ridge, Ill.; a sister, Pamela Pfaff of Ullin, Ill.; eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in Cape Girardeau County Memorial Park Cemetery with a private graveside service.
