Sandra Janiece Lemons, 81, of Jackson died Sunday, March 8, 2020, at The Villas of Jackson.
She was born Feb. 2, 1939, in Clinton, Kentucky, to Walter Marshall and Ava Virginia Templeton Fraser. She and the late Vester Lemons were married in May 1985.
Sandra attended La Croix United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau. She worked for Crain Enterprises in Mound City, Illinois, as plant supervisor for several years. She also worked with her husband at Lemons Construction Co. in Fulton, Kentucky. She enjoyed gardening, dancing and cooking.
Survivors include her daughters, Cheryl (Greg) Keith and Tammy (Fred) Elias, both of Cape Girardeau; son, Kevin (Tina) Harris of Cape Girardeau; sister, Ruth McCutchen of Clinton; brothers, Dan Fraser and Jim (Judy) Fraser, both of Clinton; grandchildren, Chip (Christina) Elias, Emily (Zac) Fidler, Janiece (Chuck) Carter, James Harris III, Bill Harris, Olivia Crain, Jack Crain and Zac Harris; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, James "Dee" Harris II; and sisters, Mona Goetz and Polly Fraser.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Burial will be at a later date in Kentucky.
