ADVANCE -- Samuel "Pat" Hedge, 69, of Advance died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau. He was the son of Samuel and Mollie Jane Strange Hedge. ADVANCE -- Samuel "Pat" Hedge, 69, of Advance died Sunday, March 7, 1999, at St. Francis Medical Center at Cape Girardeau.

He was the son of Samuel and Mollie Jane Strange Hedge.

He married Christine Ezell Sept. 13, 1952, in Pocahontas, Ark.

He was a truck driver as well as a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, John Hedge and Charlie Hedge, both of Advance; two daughters, Diane Wescott of Marion Ark., and Elaine Causey of Dover, Tenn; and six grandchildren.

Two sisters and three brothers preceded him in death.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Chapel in Advance.

Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel, with the Rev. J.D. Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Rock Point Cemetery near Advance.
