DEXTER -- Sam Frazier, 84, of Dexter died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 1997, at Dexter Memorial Hospital.
He was born Aug. 31, 1913, in Eaton, Tenn., son of George and Mary Taylor Frazier. He and Katherine May were married in 1950. She died in 1984.
Frazier moved to Gideon in 1951 from Tennessee, and had lived at Dexter since 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Newell of Dexter; a stepdaughter, Margaret Gamblin of Dexter; a sister, Pauline Milan of Humboldt, Tenn.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews he helped raise.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter from 5-8 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Bob Wiggins officiating. Burial will be in Watkins and Sons Funeral Home.
