CAIRO, Ill. -- Sam Elias, 75, of Cairo died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. He was born Aug. 21, 1924, at Cairo, son of Sam and Nora Saliba Elias Sr. He was co-owner of Elias Family Center at Cairo and was a member of the Cairo Baptist Church, Cairo Elks Lodge 651, Cairo Masonic Lodge 237, Ainad Shrine Temple and the K.I.M. Shrine Club. He served in the Army during World War II.Survivors include his wife, Martha; three sons, Donald Elias of Murray, Ky., Steve Elias and Bob Elias, both of Paducah, Ky.; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers.
Friends may call after 4 p.m. Tuesday at Barkett Funeral Home at Cairo and from 9-11 a.m. Wednesday at Cairo Baptist Church.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the church. The Rev. Larry L. Potts will officiate, with burial to follow at Green Lawn Memorial Gardens at Villa Ridge.
