JACKSON -- Funeral service for Mrs. Sadie Slinkard of Jackson will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Otto Steinhaus will officiate, with burial in Russell Heights Cemetery
Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.
Mrs. Slinkard, 85 years old, died Tuesday, Jan. 8, 1991, at Cape LaCroix
She was born Feb. 1, 1905, at Burfordville, daughter of Alfred Reynolds and Florence Jones. She married Cleman Slinkard Sept. 10, 1923, who died Feb. 27, 1963.
Mrs. Slinkard had lived here since 1940. She worked at International Shoe Co. here, and had been a rural mail carrier. She was a member of New McKendree United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, C.L. Slinkard of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Jim Reynolds of Jackson Route 2; two sisters, Della Hampton and Lillie Dickerson of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Sherri Slinkard of Cape Girardeau and Kevin Slinkard of Ste. Genevieve.
She was preceded in death by three brothers.
