SADIE LEE JONES

CHARLESTON -- Sadie Lee Jones, 86, a resident of East Prairie Nursing Center, formerly of Charleston, died Saturday, July 30, 1994, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born July 26, 1908, at Hornersville, Mo., daughter of Sam and Versie Richardson Holt.

She married George Harrison Jones in 1924. He preceded her in death May 6, 1977.

Survivors included three sons, Arnold Jones of East Prairie, Jerry Wayne Jones of Diehlstadt and Larry Ray Jones of Clearmont, Fla.; a daughter, Patsy Hunt of East Prairie; three brothers, Granville Holt of Illinois, Gene Holt of California, and Oliver Holt of Kennett; 22 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sons, one daughter and two sisters.

Service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston with the Rev. Bill Meeks, pastor of the First General Baptist Church of Charleston officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery.
