SADIE CAMPBELL

HAYWOOD CITY -- Sadie Campbell, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 28, 1996, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born Aug. 17, 1907, in Kemper County, Miss., daughter of Jacob and Hattie Howard Patterson. She and Willie Donner Campbell were married in 1923. He died in September 1970.

Campbell had worked at the hat factory in Oran. She was a member of Bonus Street Church of Christ.

Survivors include five sons, Simon Campbell of Aurora, Ill., Robert and Jacob Campbell of East Chicago, Ind., Spencer Campbell Sr. of Batavia, Ill., Joseph Campbell of Mobile, Ala.; three sisters, Veria Houston of Mobile, Carrie Jenkins of Batavia, Ruth Chapman of Aurora; 61 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, three sons, five sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Ponder Funeral Home, with James Blue officiating. Burial will be in Haywood City Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home Friday from 11 a.m. to service time.
