SIKESTON -- Funeral for Sada M. Perkins of Sikeston will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Dan Richardson will officiate, with burial in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Steele.
Perkins, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 16, 1998, at Missouri Delta Medical Center.
She was born June 18, 1909, in Evansville, Ind., daughter of Marion and Sara Sweat Booth. She and John William Perkins were married March 16, 1926, in Osceola, Ark. He died Feb. 27, 1970.
Perkins was a postmistress in Huffman, Ark., in the 1940s. She attended Morley Church of Christ at Morley.
Survivors include three sons, Denver Perkins of St. Louis, Wayne Perkins of Morley, John Perkins of Mobile, Ala.; and a daughter, Alice Nichols of Sand Springs, Okla.
Also surviving are two brothers, James Booth of Morley, Edward Booth of Decatur, Ill.; two sisters, Irene Sittner of St. Louis, Elizabeth Lacross of Algona, Wash.; 25 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a brother, three grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
