RUTH TAYLOR

DEXTER -- Ruth Taylor, 69, of Dexter died Wednesday, July 7, 1999, at her home.

She was born Dec. 13, 1929, at Dexter, daughter of Jesse D. and Hazel Effie Dickerson Gaines. They preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Pleasant Grove Community Baptist Church near Dexter and a former employee of the Brown Shoe Co.

She is survived by three sons, Robert Andrew Taylor of Newport, Ark., David Taylor of Perryville and Thomas J. Taylor of Jackson; a daughter, Susan Miller of Cape Girardeau; three brothers, Donald Gaines and Bobby Gaines, both of Dexter, and Gene Gaines of Poplar Bluff; two sisters, Helen Jones of Dexter and Nadine Richards of Wappapello; and five grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by a brother and sister.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey Funeral Home in Dexter.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Rainey Funeral Chapel.

Burial will be at the Dexter Cemetery.
